About
Uncover 3,000 years of Jewish history on this 2-day tour — ride the cable car to Masada and float in the Dead Sea on Day 1, then explore the City of David's underground tunnels, the Western Wall, and Jerusalem's Jewish heritage sites on Day 2.
This 2-day Jewish heritage and archaeology tour takes you from the fortress of the Maccabees to the 3,000-year-old foundations of King David's capital. Day 1 heads south to Masada National Park, where a cable car ascends Herod's spectacular palace fortress — explore colonnaded palaces, ancient bathhouses, and mosaic floors before descending to Ein Gedi, Qumran (discovery site of the Dead Sea Scrolls), and the Dead Sea's therapeutic shores. Overnight in Jerusalem. Day 2 explores the Jewish Quarter: Mount Scopus panorama, the Kidron Valley with ancient Jewish tombs, the Armenian Quarter, the Jewish Quarter's Byzantine Cardo, the Western Wall, and through Zion Gate. The climax is the City of David — the original 3,000-year-old settlement of Jerusalem. Walk through rock-hewn underground tunnels from the Spring of Gihon, then visit King David's Tomb and the historic Sephardi Synagogues. Departs Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
